When you tag data fields using our web scraping browser extension, you may get an error message sometimes that says “The data is unstructured. Please try again.” at the bottom-right corner of the screen.

Cause
The main reason this happens is that the selected fields are located in different containers within the website’s HTML code.
This usually means that you tried to select one data point (field), say the ‘title’ as in the example above, but other completely irrelevant data point(s) tagged along accidentally, therefore messing up the structure.
Solution
- The first thing you could try is to Reset Selection and re-tag the data points.
- If you know, or suspect, that the number of items selected for a data field seems a bit off, you can look for any unwanted selections, remove them until you get the correct number, and save the field.
However, if none of the above work, or you want the data in a custom structure, then simply get in touch with us — via email (contact@grepsr.com) or our contact form. Our specialists will deliver the data in exactly the form you need via our web scraping service platform.
